The Reality

When I was a child, I loved all the fairy tales about princesses except The Princess and the Pea. [The Fairy Tale is a 1 minute read.] In The Princess and the Pea, the land had many princesses. I didn’t like that there were so many princesses, for I envisioned the kingdom  being only big enough for one, namely me. Also, I didn’t like that the princesses were unrecognizable. Where was the one caring, beautiful, young woman with the exquisite gown? To use a pea as an indication as to whether she was a princess was absolutely ridiculous! I now see how this fairy tale mimics life (maybe a little too close for comfort).

The truth is that we are all children of God, heirs to the throne. We have all been through life’s storms and have been battered and bruised. Many of us are unrecognizable as royalty because of these struggles.

My favorite words of the fairy tale, “nobody but a real princess could be that sensitive,” come after she is recognized as a princess.

The Holy Spirit enables us, His princes and princesses, to be sensitive to Prayer, Essential oil Anointing, and Scripture (PEAS). We can then receive God’s healing and restoration.

Princess and the PEAS was created to offer a warm, safe, and loving environment; to experience God more intimately; and to live a healthier and more abundant life.

“Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:14-16 (NIV)

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3 (NIV)

“Precious treasure and oil remain in the house of the wise.” Proverbs 21:20 (NIV)

“Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s”  Psalm 103:2-5 (NIV)

“He sent forth His word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.” Psalm 107:20 (NIV)

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” Matthew 10:8 (NIV)

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2 (NAS)
